THE STORY BEHIND HANGAR90

Hangar90 started with a simple idea: to celebrate the airports that connect our world.

My name is Luke, and like many aviation enthusiasts, I’ve always been fascinated by the journey as much as the destination — the excitement of arriving at an airport, seeing aircraft on the apron, and knowing that every departure represents a new adventure.

I still remember my first ever flight from London Gatwick. I must have been around 7 or 8 years old, but the experience has stayed with me ever since. The feeling of travelling through the airport, looking out from the terminal windows and watching the aircraft, the movement on the airfield, and the excitement of everything happening around me sparked a passion that would eventually lead me to work in aviation and, years later, create Hangar90.

I created Hangar90 whilst studying Aviation at university, with a goal of creating a unique aviation gift — something that went beyond a simple souvenir. I wanted to create something that allowed people to carry their travel memories with them and celebrate the airports that played a part in their journeys.

Each airport tag represents more than just a runway. Behind every tag is a place, a journey, a milestone, or a story waiting to be remembered.

From a first flight to a favourite destination, from airports close to home to places still waiting to be explored — Hangar90 celebrates the global connections that aviation creates.

Thank you for being part of the journey and helping us build a collection of airports from around the world.

Welcome to the Hangar90 Family ✈️
