Formally known as Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the main International Airport of the Netherlands. The airport is the largest in the country and acts as a major hub for the famous airline, KLM. The airport has a total of six runways all made of Asphalt surfaces. In 2019, the airport saw 71.1 million passengers travelling through, and in recent years in light of Covid-19, passenger numbers continue to make positve growth as the industry makes its bounce back from the pandemic.

The tags are based off the airports Polderbaan runway 18R / 36L,  a well-known and popular spotters location. It is the latest runway built by the airport back in 2003 and is famously situated a fair distance from the terminal buildings, beyond the A5 motorway. Despite the lengthy taxi to the terminals, the Polderbaan remains the most frequently used runway at the airport, however noise pollution restricts it to only operating departures and arrivals to and from a northernly direction.
